| Happy new year 2010 - Wieder ein Jahrzehnt geschafft... |

Was habe ich mir vorgenommen?
Ich wünsche mir im neuen Jahr eine Verdoppelung der Rechenkapazitäten für das Team und vielleicht auch neue Mitglieder begrüßen zu dürfen. Vor allem aber auch der Ausbau der Wiki, um weiterhin Interessierten bestmögliche Informationen zukommen zu lassen.
CUDA oder ATI Stream?
ATI-Projekte gibt es zur Zeit nur Collatz und Milkyway, werden aber mit Sicherheit mehr folgen. Vorteil hier ist die neue HD5850 mit weniger Stromverbrauch als die GTX260 und sorgt auch bei Vollast für mehr Ruhe.
CUDA-Projekt ist neu Primegrid mit der AP26 Anwendung, diese ist leider aber nur 50% schneller als eine CPU. Sinnvoll hier, um nicht das System zu beeinträchtigen sind Collatz (nicht nebenbei fürs Spielen geeignet, bedeutet sofortiger Rechenfehler) und GPUGrid. Milkyway + Primegrid beeinträchtigen das System zu stark, da der Speicherkontroller zu sehr beeinträchtigt wird.
Badges?
Kann man bei World Community Grid, Primegrid und yoyo@home sammeln.
Für was soll ich rechnen?
World Community Grid braucht jede Rechenpower die es bekommen kann, RAM braucht man aber um die 2GB bei Quad-Core-Systemen.
Medizinprojekte sind immer sehr sinnvoll, POEM, Docking@home und Malaria@home sind ebenfalls gut.
Erfolge?
Faktoren oder hohe Primzahlen bei Primegrid zu finden, ebenso die lang erwartete AP26, hohe Faktoren bei yoyo@home.
Ich hoffe dieses Ziel mit all eurer Unterstützung zu verwirklichen!
