Probleme:

Charmm 5.04 App
This version is an optimized compile of Charmm. It should decrease running times by 30% to 50% as compared to version 5.3 and bring it more in line with the execution on a Linux machines. This built does not solve the disk writing problem yet. We are working on that.

This version fixes the following issues:
* We've built in the functionality to make our checkpointing more atomic, meaning that the boinc client will not interrupt charmm during the creation of a checkpoint. This will hopefully reduce the number of results that is invalidated because of a wrongly calculated rmsd or energy.
* Reduced the number of writes to the charmm logfile, thus automatically reducing the number of writes to disk.

2007-12-23: Docking@Home
Another milestone reached. As you can see from the URL in your browser, the Docking@Home website has been moved to University of Delaware! For now only the website will work, but we will be working on making sure that work is sent out soon again. So if you have not done it yet, please disconnect your boinc client from the URL http://docking.utep.edu and wait until we tell you to connect to the URL http://docking.cis.udel.edu. The old URL now has a redirect in place to bring you automatically to D@H's new home. Please make sure your bookmarks/favorites get updated. Thanks for all your patience!

We have updated docking and distributing workunits for testing purposes. Checkout the screensaver and give us your comments (sorry, the screensaver is for windows only now).

We are running some tests on docktest and in the process of updating
docking. There will be some downtime and expect to be back soon today (23:00:00 GMT). The plan is to start distributing work on docking on Friday.

We are distributing short Linux work-units (~1hour). Each work-unit has a variable duration, depending on the level of energies produced in the MD simulation (this is unfortunately non-deterministic). The Windows executable will follow soon.

Tomorrow September 03, Docking@Home will be open 24hrs for creation of new accounts, starting at 14:00 UTC

Wer will sollte dann, und zwar eher zügig ;)

Docking@Home is Retiring

April 07, 2014 17:05 EST

With a heavy heart, we are announcing the retirement of the Docking@Home project. Unfortunately, we no longer have the resources to maintain the project. Starting on April 30, 2014 Docking@Home will no longer be distributing new jobs but will continue to collect results. On May 23, 2014 the server will stop accepting results as the project enters retirement. We hope that you can use this time to point your workers to new VC projects. (here is a link to active BOINC projects).

Over the past 9 years we’ve had 98,512 Volunteers contribute computing power from 264,535 hosts. We have granted a total of 5,422,290,917 credits, which means our volunteers contributed roughly 159,398,584 Hours (18,196 years!) of computation. Back in Jan we made all of the result data public and we will keep that interface active. Thank you to everyone that made Docking@home a success over the years. It’s been fun! Please join us on the forums to share your best and worst story from the project.

Over the past few months we’ve been working on bringing the ExSciTecH project to life. We hope that you will join us in our adventure on this new project. Feel free to stop by the ExSciTecH forums and say “Hi”!.

Thanks for your support over the years!
The Docking@Home Team
