It may not appear that the server is doing well…however, considering this has been by far the most active Challenge in 3 years, we are quite pleased. Yes, the validator issue is disappointing but since this is an LLR Challenge, scores are determined when results are returned. This backlog will only affect the invalid tasks.

Nevertheless, we are taking a step to see if we can lower the stress enough to give the validator time to work. k<1200 work has been released into the buffer. The leading edge of these tasks are at ~792K. Therefore, the tests will take longer…and yes, they'll earn more points as well.

The only side affect of this is that primes found at that level will push the 1200<k<10000 primes closer to the edge. Fortunately, the first 30 hours of the Challenge has created a nice buffer to the 5000th prime at the Prime Pages.

Primes found at this level will enter the Top 5000 list above 1350. This means they'll be on the list for years to come. :)

Es wurden jetzt längere WUs ausgegeben, um den Server zu entlasten. Des weiteren hängt der backlog hinterher, es sind schon fast 1Mio Results wartend auf die Validierung. Daher sind die Statistiken zur Zeit nicht besonders aussagekräftig.

Hatte ich mir schon fast gedacht, die Website war gestern den ganzen Tag extrem lahm, im Gegensatz zu sonst. Dachte schon der Server geht bald n die Knie...
