VBOINC is an implementation built on top The Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) allowing virtual machines (Ubuntu Server 11.04) to be run on volunteer machines which in turn can attach to other BOINC projects and run computations within the virtual presence rather than directly on the volunteer host. This is the first virtual client-server implementation which is fully available to the general public for use with any BOINC project.
